Let Me Tell You a True Story !!

We are anxious for YOUR true story entry.  Be sure to read and comment on those entries near you.  We all love comments!

Our old Hound dog is having trouble with his joints and I find him limping some days.

Doing an internet search for pet joint pain and treatment I was amazed at all the bargains to help, so I placed an order.  Next they offered me a discount if I ordered more so I did.  Oh what fun this was.

Now the waiting part!!  Can you believe that I am so extremely excited about the arrival of those packages?  They should arrive any day now!!  Soon and very soon!!

I believe this attitude of being anxious and eager is what the Lord expects from us, as we wait for the return of Jesus.  We know the Bible promises that He will come back, but only the Father knows the exact day or the hour.

Because we do not know the exact day or the hour, we should at least be aware of the signs of the times.

Luke 21:25 And there shall be signs upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity;

It is important to be ready for when Jesus does return, for it will be so very quick.  Just a blink of an eye; and all the Christians will rise to meet Jesus in the clouds.

Now, how excited is that?  Will it be tomorrow?  Only God knows.  Soon and Very Soon!

Act 1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

Peace is Better Than Bitterness by R.T. Kendall

Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. —Hebrews 12:14

When we are bitter, we delude ourselves into thinking that those who hurt us are more likely to be punished as long as we are set on revenge.

We are afraid to let go of those feelings. After all, if we don't make plans to see that justice is done, how will justice be done? We make ourselves believe that it is up to us to keep the offense alive.

That the devil's lie. We only hurt ourselves when we dwell on what has happened to us and fantasize about what it will be like when "they" get punished. Most of all, we grieve the Holy Spirit of God, and this is why we lose our sense of peace.

It is my experience that the quickest way I seem to lose inner peace is when I allow bitterness to reenter my heart. It's not worth it! I made a decision for inner peace. But I found that I had to carry out that decision by a daily commitment to forgive those who hurt me, and to forgive them totally. I therefore let them utterly off the hook and resigned myself to this knowledge: * They will prosper and be blessed as if they had done no wrong.

What's more, I actually began to will this! I prayed for it to happen. I asked God to forgive them. But I have had to do this every day to keep the peace within my heart.  Having been on both sides, I can tell you: The peace is better. The bitterness isn't worth it.

I have come to believe that the only way to move beyond the hurt and go forward in life is through total forgiveness.   Excerpted from Total Forgiveness (Charisma House, 2002).

Hold on for the Joy  by Rod Parsley

Joy cometh in the morning. —Psalm 30:5

You may be walking through the driest, darkest, most desperate situation of your life, but hold on—joy comes in the morning. Remember, weeping lasts only for a night. The army of God goes forth in the morning and marches under the banner of light (John 9:5).

Jesus declares, "But whosoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life" (John 4:14). Stop drinking from the old wells of your past traditions and worldly pre-occupations. Refuse to drink the stagnant, sin-infested, putrid waters of this world, and dig new wells deep into the pure waters of God.

Sing a new song unto the Lord as Israel did: "Then Israel sang this song, Spring up, O well; sing ye unto it" (Numbers 21:17). Christ is the well of living water springing up within us.

We must allow His well to flow continually and eternally from within us through the Holy Spirit. "He that believeth on me [Jesus], as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spoke he of the Holy Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive)" (John 7:38-39).

Jesus, fill me with Your living water. No longer will I
be content with the night or with a dry season. I long
to live in Your light and drink Your living water. Amen.

Tell Me a True Story !!
I hope you are enjoying these remarkable true stories.

God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will. -Hebrews 2:4

God wants to be identified as your God. And He wants to do it with the thundering "Amen" of signs and wonders that prove you serve the God you say you serve. Jesus promises that you will do greater works than He did: "

Read Me a True Story

I hope you are enjoying these remarkable true stories.  Do read those near you and leave a comment.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's. —Psalm 103:2-5, KJV

If we are to experience true, lasting wholeness and healing in the places of our wounding, we must encounter the Healer Himself and be encouraged to build a relationship of intimacy with Him. How are the inner wounds of the heart healed?

We must give everything back to God, including all bitterness, self-pity, and desire for revenge. Our grief, anger, shame, and pride—even our hopes, ambitions, and dreams—must be laid on God's altar, along with our personal rights and the desire to run our own lives. Jesus must become the focus of our hearts—not our tragedies, our past, or all that might have been. Only Jesus can transform self-pity into victory or tears into triumph.   (by Mike Bickle)

Welcome - Week of May 5, 2014 True Stories Party

Yes, Read Me a True Story

I hope you are enjoying these remarkable true stories.

I read them all by reading four or five at a sitting.  I also make short comments.  Hope you are doing likewise, especially those near you!

Our Need for an Intimate Relationship With Jesus is apparent when it is time for a Spiritual battle.
The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. —2 Corinthians 10:4-5
Satan is not intimidated by the boasts of believers who do not have an intimate relationship with Jesus. He knows that as long as darkness reigns unchallenged and unconquered in many areas of their own lives, those believers pose no real threat to his kingdom. Jesus is the One whom Satan fears. If believers are not filled with the reality and knowledge of Jesus, Satan knows it is only a matter of time until they will become victims of his attacks, not victors over darkness.  (Mike Bickle)
