Yes, Read Me a True Story |
I hope you are enjoying these
remarkable true stories.
I read them all by reading
four or five at a sitting. I also make
short comments. Hope you are doing
likewise, especially those near you!
Our Need for an
Intimate Relationship With Jesus is
apparent when it is time for a Spiritual battle.
The weapons we
fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine
power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets
itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to
make it obedient to Christ. —2 Corinthians 10:4-5
Satan is not
intimidated by the boasts of believers who do not have an intimate relationship with Jesus. He knows that as long as darkness
reigns unchallenged and unconquered in many areas of their own lives, those
believers pose no real threat to his kingdom. Jesus is the One whom Satan
fears. If believers are not filled with
the reality and knowledge of Jesus, Satan knows it is only a matter of time
until they will become victims of his attacks, not victors over darkness. (Mike Bickle)

I like this: "Satan is not intimidated by the boasts of believers who do not have an intimate relationship with Jesus."
We know that, yet we need reminder over and over again, because it's so easy boasting about ourselves or about our faith without really having it.
