Cancellation of Assignments

Jesus Breaks every Assignment

As we began our Praying over our city meeting, we read scriptures that assure us that Jesus can and will set us free from those things that keep us in bondage - - He is ready and willing to give us gifts to enable us to serve him and others - - -
(If you then be free from captivity, STAND and do not be moved away from Christ.)

Psalms 68:18, 19  Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them.  Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits, even the God of our salvation.
Ephesians 4:7, 8  But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.  Wherefore he says, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
Galatians 5:1  Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Romans 8:2  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

The Children of Israel were rebellious and constantly forsaking God and worshiping idols and other gods of the heathen nations around them.  God used Babylon to punish them.

Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar, destroyed Jerusalem and took many Jews captive.
This Babylonian captivity of the Jews lasted 70 years.

During these times of captivity the Jews set up homes and were allowed to tend crops and raise sheep.  Assignments by the King were set up to rule over the households of the captives.  Many were forced to build towers, walls, and plant gardens for the King.

Babylon was destroyed in about 1531 BC by invaders from the northwest, the Hittites.
Medes, and the Persians. The Jewish captives, were allowed a certain amount of freedom to enjoy their religion and customs; Yet they were heavily taxed as were the Jews in Jesus day, when the Romans held rule over them.

Oppression hovered over the Jews because of their disobedience to worship God only.

As we prepare to pray over our city, we understand that because of rebellion in the hearts of many citizens, the enemy king satan has set up assignments to rule over individuals.  Strong towers of doubt and unbelief have been build holding our citizens captive and in bondage.

We have a greater KING, who is able to break the assignments set up by the enemy.  Our God can pull down the strong towers of resistance and leave not one stone unturned.  Jesus desires to remove all the old stones - - leaving nothing of the old.  All must be purged and nothing of the old to remain.  All must be made brand new, not the same.

Jesus is the Greater One, and a Greater King is able to break the assignments of the enemy king.

However Jesus cannot enter the domain of our citizens to tear down and replace, unless He is invited.  He is a gentleman, always polite and waits for a willing mind and a teachable spirit.  God will not force himself until He is wanted.  He is ready and powerful but He waits patiently.

Jesus wants to rule supreme - only Him.  He cannot allow any thing or anyone else to rule along side of him.

No man can serve two masters.  Jesus demands we serve only Him.

Some have tried to clean up a little space for Jesus, while keeping things that were friendly and familiar, but that will not do.  Jesus is the deep cleaner and he desires to remove all those things that are not acceptable in His sight.

Jesus came to bring us Life, more abundantly and He is our Eternal Life and Glory.

As we pray over our city, we prophesy that assignments are broken, walls and towers torn down, citizens become awake to realize their need for Jesus, and open eyes and ears to understand as God is calling them to repentance and to invite Jesus into their life.

Thank you Jesus for making everything new in our citizens as they invite you into their lives.

Jesus Enters Jerusalem

Our Bible study continues in John chapter 12.

Jesus had just been anointed with precious ointment by Mary and had raised Lazarus from the dead.  Many believed on Jesus because of the miracles that He did.  The Pharisees were angry that many Jews were coming to Jesus because of the miracles.  They failed to believe the Prophesies written by the Prophets in the Old Testament.

Jesus was ready to enter Jerusalem at the time of the feast, he requested His disciples to fetch a young donkey for him to ride on - - to fulfill a prophesy; as it is written, "Fear not, daughter of Zion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt."

These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.

As Jesus entered Jerusalem, the people came to meet him shouting, "Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord."

Many from other nations were present at the celebration, and certain Greeks came to Philip,  and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus.    Philip went and told Andrew: and together they tell Jesus.

And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.   Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say?  Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.

Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.

The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spoke to him.

Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes.   And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.  This he said, signifying what death he should die.

But although Jesus had done so many miracles before them, yet the Religious leaders did not believe on him:  That the saying of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?

Therefore they could not believe, because that Isaiah said again,  He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.

As we consider our lives and this day - - we may not hear a voice from heaven saying: "This is my beloved Son, listen to what He is saying."

Also we see too few miracles to cause us to believe in Jesus, however we have the inner witness as we read and study God's Word, that Jesus is our Messiah.

When we believe on Him and receive Him into our life, the Holy Spirit will bring us His eternal life and we can know Jesus personally as He walks and talks with us daily.

There is more that Jesus has available for us with gifts as we present ourselves ready to receive and to obey His leading.

Amazing Things Still Happen Today

Recently my daughter Judie and I attended a Glory Conference with Joshua Mills, as he inspired us to seek Jesus and enter into His presence.

This can be done by silently being with Jesus as you pray and read your Bible, but also as you sing and praise the Lord with a Joyful Noise.

Keep Jesus first in your life, and allow the Holy Spirit to become real to you in a "personal" way.

From the Bible, we consider the life of Jesus as He ministered on earth and wondrous miracles happened as he preached,  healed the sick, and cast out demons.

On one occasion - - After feeding a crowd of 5000, Jesus went to the mountain to pray, and the disciples entered the boat to go to the other side leaving Jesus there.  When a storm arose, Jesus came to them as he walked on the water.  They were afraid. . . (of course) but at his command to not be fearful, they allowed him to get into their boat.  IMMEDIATELY they were (transported) to the other side.  The people knew Jesus was not in the boat when the disciples left, so they asked how did you get here Jesus?

Jesus called himself the "son of man," because when he came to earth, he left ALL of his "God powers." in heaven and became flesh on earth.  Everything Jesus did on earth was by listening to his Father God, and then moving in the anointing he received when he was baptized by John the Baptist.  Remember when the Holy Spirit descended on him in the form of a dove?  That began the anointing as he was filled with the Holy Spirit - - - same as we can be filled with the Holy Spirit when we accept Jesus into our life.

Amazing things happened to Jesus as he walked with His FATHER GOD.  At times the religious leaders tried to kill him as they were not believers.  Times of danger, guess what?  Jesus passed through the crowd and seemed to disappear.  WOW, did that really happen you say?

Remember Philip preaching to the eunuch in the desert.  After believing that Jesus is the Messiah,  at the eunuch's request, Philip baptized him, and IMMEDIATELY Philip was lifted up and appeared in another city. (transported) - - WOW do things like this happen today?  Not as often as they should, but they do.

Realizing that strange to us, many things in the Bible are actually true, and we can expect similar things to occur today.

At the Glory conference, Rev Mills told a story about himself and a valuable ring that had been given to him but sadly to say that during a stay at a certain hotel, it was lost.  The valuable ring also had sentimental value because it has been passed down from family to family.   He was extremely sorrowful about the missing ring.

One day in prayer as he cried before the Lord, he asked for help in finding his ring and having it restored to him.  He was praising the Lord and the presence of God was like a cloud heavy in his room.  A vision began to appear before his eyes, and he saw himself walking in a quiet neighborhood.  One of the homes stood out to him and the walked up to the house and opened the door.  As he walked through the home, he entered into a bedroom and noticed a tall dresser, on which sat his missing ring.

God told him to reach out and take his ring.  He did as he was instructed, and grabbed the ring in his left hand.  Immediately the vision ended and he was once again in his own bedroom - - - and he felt something solid in his hand.  There it was his missing ring, that had been stolen, but was now returned.  (true story)
~ ~ ~

In life, the enemy has stolen many things from us.  Some through ignorance, or neglect on our part, and some through NO fault of our own.  Understand that God desires to bring back to you things that the devil stole.  Perhaps it was your marriage, your job, your finances, your health, or your children taken from you outside of your control.

God can and will bring you peace to go forward regardless of the situation, but in many cases He desired to bring a restoration of things lost.

Believe God is for you and not against you.  What he has done in the past, He will do today.  Place your trust in Jesus, and get as close to Him as you can.  Know that you are His Child and as a Child of God, his DNA becomes a part of you.  God is Holy,  He has character to keep His Word,  He is healthy, He is rich, in that he needs nothing because he has more than enough.

Walk with Jesus and you will never be disappointed.

He Shall Rise Again

Our Bible Study was from John chapter 11.  I took notes as our teacher Linda taught the lesson.

Jesus had been notified that his friend Lazarus was sick, but He delayed leaving and waited two days.  Jesus said, we shall go now, because Lazarus sleeps.  Naturally the disciples thought Jesus meant taking a rest, so Jesus told them plainly, Lazarus is dead, let us go.

Mary and Martha were the sisters of Lazarus, and this was the Mary who had anointed Jesus with expensive, sweet smelling ointment.   Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary sat still in the house.  Martha met Jesus with the words, "if only" you had been here our brother would not have died.  Jesus said, he shall rise again.  Martha said unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:  And whosoever lives and believeth in me shall never die. Do you believe this?    She said unto him, Yes, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.

Martha left to tell Mary that Jesus was asking for her.  Mary came speaking the same fearful words spoken by Martha.  You could have prevented this if you were here.

Jesus saw all the friends who were weeping loudly and He groaned in His spirit and was troubled.  He asked, "where have you laid him?"  And Jesus wept.

Jesus commanded that they remove the stone from the mouth of the grave, but Martha protested, "He has been dead four days, and by now he stinks."

Jesus said unto her, "Didn't I just tell you that, if you would believe, you should see the glory of God?"

Jesus prepared himself.  He knew the entire picture from the first day Lazarus took sick.  He had been listening to His Father God because a mighty miracle would soon happen.

Jesus began to give thanks to His Father, and said; Father, I thank you that you have heard me.  And I knew that you hear me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.

And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.

You can just imagine the shock of the people as Lazarus came walking out from the grave, still bound with grave clothes.    Jesus said, loose him and let him go.

Many believed on Jesus, but the Chief Priests and Pharisees counseled together how to  handle Jesus.  One of them Caiaphas, being the high priest declared that it was expedient that one man die for the nation, so that the whole will not parish.

From that day the Jewish religious leaders plotted to put Jesus to death.

Living in the Book of Acts

Our Sunday morning service began with worship and many people came one by one to the alter to pray and dedicate their lives to Jesus.

Pastor Allan shared from his heart as he asked one of our deacons to share a scripture.

The King is here, we seek His presence first and then we seek His gifts.  His power has been manifested this morning to heal, to save and to deliver.  We are all encouraged by His presence.

There are a lot of lost people who are outside our walls.  Mark your calendar and invite friends to attend the Franklin Graham meeting in Chico June 3rd at the Silver Dollar Fair Grounds.  Bring chairs and blankets.  It is his California tour "Decision America."  We so need Jesus in California.  All the wrong things are going on in our capital.  We need to pray for our leaders that they will have wisdom and lead properly.

The early church suffered persecution, which caused them to scatter and take the Gospel far and wide.  Keep the fire burning and not get lax.  Be willing to step out in obedience to the Holy Spirit.  Our lifestyle is a testimony to the world.  Live in freedom and let your life shine for Jesus.

There is a shift in the Spirit.  As a result people are stirred to go deeper in God.

Live in the book of Acts until the book of Acts lives in you.

It is happening, God is giving assignments, and we see it now.  Rejoice in God, in His presence and in His touch in the lives of His people.

God is seeking those He can trust to give all the glory to God.

Levels of Progression in Learning to Prophesy

I am rising early to read my Bible, and then a chapter from two or three good Spirit Filled Books.

One of the books I am reading is by James Maloney's 'The Panoramic Seer.'  As I read my chapter this morning, I made notes on something I found very interesting.

Dr. Maloney stated that there are levels of "knowing into the Spirit."  Generally "Prophets" have dreams and visions.

Those who prophesy simple words of encouragement may not be a prophet, but this is a place to begin to exercise speaking what the Father is saying to exhort, encourage and build up others.

Understand that  there are stages of development in hearing from God.

1.  There is the 'tug', a need to pray for someone, pressure to start up a conversation with someone, a sympathetic pain, (someone needs a touch from God.)
There is the inward knowing - the still small voice.  Jesus always spoke what He heard the Father say, and that is what is happening to you.  Be brave and speak out what you are 'knowing.'  (if no one is there, then write it down for later.)

2. Seeing in the spirit is like seeing "still photographs," revealing the past.  Sometimes it is like flashes in the minds eye, coming one after the other in progression.   The photos do not move but they reveal the puzzle.  There is also a word of knowledge coming into the mix and also the gift of Word of wisdom as a future and a destiny is revealed.

3.  Lastly an external - outside your brain, seen with your physical eyes.  The vision moves in animation in your minds eyes.  It is like real to you.

Not everyone moves is the last two types of flows, and sadly in some cases not even in the first - - yet this manifestation of the Holy spirit is open to all.

Panorama is merging of all functions and mixing of the Father's Faith with yours.

There is an extra unction needed for created and/or recreated miracles.  This is a higher lever of the miraculous and sadly not happening as much as it should.  - -

Press on because there is more for you from God.

Celebrate Life

Notes taken at our Bible Study at our Church on Sunday Mornings

Jesus was fast approaching the time of his death, burial and resurrection.  Realizing this, He tried to prepare his disciples.

Jesus and his disciples were on their way to Bethany to enjoy a meal at Simon the leper's house:  Matthew 26: Jesus said to his disciples, “As you know, the Passover is two days away—and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified.”

Any mention of Jesus dying, or leaving them fell on deaf ears, for the disciples could not accept what he was saying.

Reading from different Gospels we view Jesus dining at the Pharisee's home, when in comes a  woman carrying an expensive alabaster box to anoint Jesus.  She kneels at his feet weeping and kisses his feet as she wipes his feet with her long hair.  This event shocked the guests and they complained about the waste because they knew the cost of the ointment was about a years wages.  Jesus said to leave her alone because she has done this to anoint my body for my burial.  Matthew 26:13 "Truly I tell you, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her.”

Jesus was worthy for her to do this and He accepted her wonderful gift with gratitude.

John 11:1  Lazarus, a friend of Jesus was sick, from the town of Bethany where his sisters Mary and Martha lived.  (It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.)
Luke 7:36 When one of the Pharisees invited Jesus to have dinner with him, he went to the Pharisee’s house and reclined at the table. A woman in that town who lived a sinful life learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee’s house, so she came there with an alabaster jar of perfume. As she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them.
When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would know who is touching him and what kind of woman she is—that she is a sinner.”
Then he turned toward the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet. You did not put oil on my head, but she has poured perfume on my feet. Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little.”
Then Jesus said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”
The other guests began to say among themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?”
Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”
All the guests were watching, and their criticism had to deal with first MONEY and second AUTHORITY.
Jesus used his right to forgive sin, and began to teach about forgiveness.  Who will love me most?  The simple answer was he who has been forgiven much.
Mary left a new woman.  She was not the same adulteress woman, but her life was changed to a righteous lady, and she could now CELEBRATE  LIFE.

Seek the Giver of Gifts

From my notes I present an edited sermon as Pastor Allan ministered - -

Jesus offers Gifts to the Church

Jesus Gives to the Church - - The Holy Spirit gives to the believer. - - We activate the gifts so we can minister for the benefit of all.

Do not squelch the gifts or be put off by criticism of those who are not in the "know."  The body of Christ can be crippled by ignorant judging and empty words.  Persons with empty soul and empty spirits will judge what they have never personally experienced.  Do not be afraid of those who don't understand the deep things of God.

God has set offices in the body that will bless and not condemn.  There is this thing called government.  God sets workers to complement and complete the body.
We no longer operate in the 'flesh,' but we operate in the supernatural.

Do not fear to "activate" as God prompts you.  Don't limit to these four walls but take the gifts out to your neighborhood.  Share your testimonies to inspire and encourage others.

It is time to change our mindset to include God at work through his anointed believers.  Something strange is happening in our city.  Be a part and become equipped and then activate your gifts.

Believers Power driven by the Holy Spirit will change their world.

Ephesians 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called.  - -

We are to walk worthy of our calling and to keep in unity.  When you begin to be used of God, do not get puffed up and proud but know it is not you but JESUS doing the works.

Can you be trusted to give the glory to Jesus?

Be obedient and be a part and volunteer where needed.  No more excuses.

Often when people get a "title" it goes to their head and is sugar coated.  This is not what God means when he says "I have chosen you and called you."

Ephesians 4:8  - Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

Hang out with those who are operating in the gifts.  Jesus gave governing Gifts for the perfecting of the saints;  assigning a Five Fold gifting to the Body:

Ephesians 4:11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.

Most churches operate a three fold gifted ministry:  Pastor, Evangelist (missionary) Teacher.  They chose to eliminate Apostles and Prophets because of fear.  This creates damage to the church.

What is Apostolic covering?  It is staying close to the teachings and working of the New Testament believers after Pentecost.

It may seem weird if you have not studied and learned what is available to believers.

Prophetic people are interesting.  When they move in their gift and are praying for someone - - God may be revealing to them the secrets of men. This is not to share publicly, but to help the individual obtain freedom and healing.

Beware of those who operate outside the scriptures such as physics, fortune tellers, TM, New Age and the like.  The Bible warns us not to seek after familiar spirits and those who operate as enchanters, witches, wizards, as they are powered by false gods.

Balance is needed in the church to include all five gifts that Jesus gave us:  Apostles, Prophets,  Pastors, Evangelists and Teachers.  Be willing to active your gift.

There is a break through in the atmosphere as we prepare, equip, activate and obey to go out and share God's love.
~ ~ ~

Pastor called to the front about ten church leaders, and said, those who desire prayer, please come and these prophets, evangelists, and teachers with pray for you.  Many came and God moved mightily.

"Chance" Encounters" by Hazel Moon

This post is from a lesson given at our meeting "Praying Over our City."

We make our plans for things we desire to do, and then we worry about our plans.  Jesus often urged us not to fret, worry, or be fearful.

James says it this way: 4:13,14 Now listen, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money."  Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.

A vapor causes me to think of sweet smelling incense.  We do not have a promise of tomorrow, so it is important that our lives exude the sweet fragrance of Jesus.

Have you ever happened upon someone - - perhaps you knew a long time ago, and suddenly you meet again?  Often it is a God encounter so we must pay attention.

My husband and I arrived in Broken Arrow OK, in 1976 in the early summer planning to attend Rhema Bible College in the fall.  Needing something to do, we had flyers printed saying, "Roof repairs"  give us a call us at - - and listed our phone number.  I volunteered to go door to door in our neighborhood and knock on doors and leave a brochure with who ever answered.  I had only gone a few houses when the gentleman who answered the door said, "I know you. We went to the same church in Oakland, California."  I took a closer look at the gentleman and knew immediately who he was.  Almost in tears he told me his wife wanted a divorce and had met someone else where she worked.  I asked if they had been attending church, and the answer was; no they were both far from God.

Years ago, this couple left our church in California, when they decided to purchase a house, and said they could no longer afford to tithe from their income.  Our deacons visited them and urged them 'Don't let that be a reason not to attend church,' but they refused to listen and said "NO they were leaving the church, our minds are made up."  Fast forward from CA to OK.   I told the gentleman, I will pray for you, but the best thing you can do for yourself and your children is to decide now - - to get back in church and serve Jesus.  He knew Jesus had sent me that day to confront him.  I gave him the names of two Full Gospel churches, and after praying for him - - I left.  Now he was faced with a decision only he could make.

Acts 6:  We don't know a lot about Philip the Evangelist, but he must have been in the upper room on the day of Pentecost because when he preached, miracles happened.  Philip was one of seven men appointed by the apostles to oversee distribution of food, so the apostles would not be distracted from preaching.

He was active in the food ministry; but one day an angel told him to go south to the road between Jerusalem and Gaza.  Not understanding fully, Philip obeys and sees a royal looking eunuch riding in a chariot and reading aloud from the scriptures.  He is returning to Ethiopia after worshiping at the Jewish temple.

Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, Philip obediently overcomes any social reticence, approaches the chariot, walks briskly alongside and engages the eunuch in conversation regarding his reading in the book of  Isaiah.   "Do you understand what you are reading?"

The eunuch asks, "Is the prophet talking about himself or someone else?"  The eunuch admits his need to understand.  Having a teachable spirit is the first step to achieving knowledge of salvation.

Philip explains the prophesy and points the man to Jesus as the Messiah; revealing His life, death and resurrection.  The Eunuch requests to be baptized in water that is near by.  As soon as the baptism is over, the Holy spirit transports (Holy Spirit Air Lift) Philip to the city of Azotus where Philips preaches and ministers about Jesus.

As we pray over our cities, there are many citizens waiting for an encounter with Jesus.  Perhaps you are the one who will bring them the answer from the Scriptures.  God is NOT willing that any should perish, but that all should receive Jesus as their personal savior.  Some have been running from God because they thought certain decisions they made has caused them to be NO longer loved by God.  God's love is unconditional.

Jeremiah 31:3 “The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness.

You are reading this today by a God encounter.  Jesus is asking, will you give your life to me and serve me all the days of your life?  Just say yes to Jesus today and HE will encounter YOU with his Love and His peace.
