True Stories - - Week February 10, 2014

Happy Valentines Day

“Mi Casa es su casa” is a saying that my brother, Allen would reverse.  “Your home is my home,” is how he would say it.  My mother-in-law, Bea lived within walking distance and I would often visit.  She related that one day my brother Allen came by to see if Jerry and Billy were home.  He walked into the kitchen and spying a couple of left over home made biscuits he picked up one of the biscuits and began to eat it.

Bea was courteous, but was mildly shocked because she barely knew Allen, and this surprised her when he made himself right at home.  She laughed when telling me this story.

Now, Please make yourself at home here at  - - Tell Me a True Story!

How to Know the Will of God !!

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. - Philippians 4:6-7

Just the other day, a friend of a son's who had been at our house frequently went through my fridge. I always tell them to make themselves at home because some of them need mothering. LOL - I looked askance at first and then thought, well - they feel like it's home and right now that is a good thing.

I think boys do accept a mother image and then feel right at home especially if they are hungry !!

Thank you so much for hosting, Hazel!

I loved your story!! My grandma's name was Bea. :) I love it when people make themselves at home at my house - that means they feel relaxed and comfortable...and that is exactly what I hope they feel!
