Today is Saint Patrick’s day and we are reminded of the
shamrock. In Irish tradition the three
leaves symbolize FAITH, HOPE and LOVE.
If there is a fourth leaf it is for LUCK.
My thoughts went to my childhood adventures searching for
four leaf clovers on our lawn. If I was
patient and took my time, eventually I would find the elusive Lucky four leaf clover,
and I felt very lucky (and blessed!)
A
popular song of that day was "I'm Looking Over A Four Leaf
Clover"
I'm looking
over a four leaf clover
That I overlooked before
First is the sunshine, the second is rain
Third is the roses that bloom in the lane
There's no need explaining
The one remaining is somebody I adore
I'm looking over a four leaf clover
That I overlooked before
That I overlooked before
First is the sunshine, the second is rain
Third is the roses that bloom in the lane
There's no need explaining
The one remaining is somebody I adore
I'm looking over a four leaf clover
That I overlooked before
Psalm 1:2-3 And
he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth fruit
in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall
prosper.

I've heard that the 3-leaf shamrock also symbolizes the Trinity! Thanks for hosting & God bless!
ReplyDeleteLove inlinkz, Hazel! It is so much easier and faster! Loved your reminiscing on St. Patrick's Day. I always liked that song too :)
ReplyDeleteHazel - I am so glad you shared the words to that song. Although I have heard it before, I am not sure I paid attention to the words. What hit me is how we can so overlook that which we may have seen before & miss the blessings right in front of our very eyes. I am so glad that you shared those words this morning. Blessings today!!!
