Hold on for the Joy by Rod Parsley
Joy cometh in the morning. —Psalm 30:5
Joy cometh in the morning. —Psalm 30:5
You may be walking
through the driest, darkest, most desperate situation of your life, but hold
on—joy comes in the morning. Remember, weeping lasts only for a night. The army
of God goes forth in the morning and marches under the banner of light (John
9:5).
Jesus declares,
"But whosoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never
thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water
springing up into everlasting life" (John 4:14). Stop drinking from the
old wells of your past traditions and worldly pre-occupations. Refuse to drink
the stagnant, sin-infested, putrid waters of this world, and dig new wells deep
into the pure waters of God.
Sing a new
song unto the Lord as Israel
did: "Then Israel
sang this song, Spring up, O well; sing ye unto it" (Numbers 21:17).
Christ is the well of living water springing up within us.
We must allow
His well to flow continually and eternally from within us through the Holy
Spirit. "He that believeth on me [Jesus], as the scripture hath said, out
of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spoke he of the
Holy Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive)" (John 7:38-39).
Jesus, fill me with Your living water. No
longer will I
be content with the night or with a dry season. I long
to live in Your light and drink Your living water. Amen.
