1 Corinthians 1: 21-24 For since in
the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was
pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who
believe. Jews demand miraculous signs
and Greeks look for wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block
to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called, both
Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

I am just finishing off study in Bible College.. How wonderful it has been and such an eye opener. I have grown!! Yes the Jews looked for miracles and te Greek for wisdon, and the CROSS is a stumling block for many.. I elieve we are so blessed in this day and age because we not only have readble Bibles, but we can also learn from understanding the history in your above message in 1 Corinthians 1: 21-24 .. Praise Gods name.
